Job Responsibilities
- Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their duties and assist supervisor in assigning and directing employee work.
- Communicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper vehicle flow and maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
- Communicate schedules and assignments to crew members.
- Manage vans and transport drivers to locations.
- Ensure timely pick‑up and drop‑off of employees and vehicles by transporting them according to schedule.
- Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days; provide transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites.
- Pick‑up and drop‑off employees and other auction personnel to/from the auction, parking lots, dealerships, customer locations/businesses, and other locations.
- Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van; clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Work in cooperation with the Market Safety Manager to support all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Work with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels, and develop strategies for improvement based on key performance indicators and metrics.
- Lead the team at the location by setting an example, championing Cox/Manheim values, and ensuring all employees are treated with respect.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Safe driver’s license required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Commitment to safety and customer service.
Monday‑Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Wednesdays 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
Work EnvironmentFrequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and operating in a parking lot and transportation setting.
Drug TestingApplicants must clear a pre‑employment drug test. The position does not require testing for marijuana; however, the workplace is drug‑free and possession, use or being under the influence of any illegal drugs during work hours is prohibited.
