Lead Warehouse Worker - 2nd Shift

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. The role supports and provides some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions, working closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met and meeting the supervisors’ expectations.

Thursday to Saturday 2:30 PM until finish (with options to pick up additional days)

• Stage and sort products for loading
• Load and unload trailers
• Execute and provide process and project visibility to Operations Supervisor
• Demonstrate expertise in warehouse functions
• Lead and comply with Safety and Well‑Being efforts on assigned shift
• Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Perform quality control
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
• Fill requisitions and work orders
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Operate stand‑up FL forklift and EPJ
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

$23.50 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential totaling $24.50 per hour.

• 4 years of warehouse experience (required)
• 2 years of inventory or materials management experience (preferred)
• 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior forklift certification (preferred)
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (preferred)
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software (required)
• Flexible to work overtime (preferred)
• Ability to work in climate‑controlled conditions (required)
• Ability to lead a small team, work independently, provide customer service, deal with others, multitask, organize, manage time, and execute as required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening (required)
