Position: Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate

Amazon Warehouse Equipment Operator

You'll be part of the Amazon warehouse team operating order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other powered industrial trucks (PIT) to handle customer orders safely and efficiently. You will unload and load trailers, store and retrieve pallets throughout the warehouse. No prior experience required—Amazon provides all PIT training and certification for free.

Job Requirements

Be 18 years or older

Understand and follow instructions in English

Lift up to 49 pounds

View prompts on screens and follow directions for some tasks

Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts

Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around

Go up and down stairs (where applicable)

Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving PIT equipment

Operate PIT at heights up to 45 feet as part of daily work

What You’ll Do

Operate PIT—such as order pickers and reach trucks

Use PIT to locate, retrieve, and store large pallets of items in their designated warehouse locations

Handle large pallets of items through multiple warehouse processes, such as store and pick, while operating PIT

Operate a stand‑up forklift throughout your shift, maneuvering safely around other PIT equipment in motion

Safely move items using carts, dollies, and pallet jacks while loading and unloading trailers

Use handheld technology to track and maintain accurate inventory records

Amazon provides all PIT training and certification for free, so no prior experience is required

Schedule Options

Shift hours:
Early Morning, Daytime, Evening, and Overnight
Weekly hours:
Full‑Time (40), Reduced‑Time (30‑39), Part‑Time (20‑29), or Flex‑Time (0‑19)
Schedule flexibility:
Fixed weekly schedule or flexible schedules
Weekend options and overtime availability based on business needs
Sites operate 24/7, so shifts are available at all times

Safety & Your Workspace

Safety is a top priority; protective gear is provided and safety tips are shared daily
You will be operating and working around moving equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers, as well as mobile carts and rolling cages
Activities may require long periods of standing, walking, or climbing stairs

Work Conditions

Temperature:
Climate‑controlled facilities range 60°F‑90°F; temperatures can exceed 90°F on hot days or drop below freezing on cold days
Noise:
Workplace can be noisy; hearing protection is provided if needed
Dress code:
Relaxed and comfortable; closed‑toe shoes required; protective safety footwear required in select areas
