The Inventory Control Specialist (Distribution Center) completes warehouse activities to manage and improve inventory accuracy, job quality, and customer satisfaction. These duties include cycle, quality, and accuracy of physical inventory storage, quarantine or other segregation of inventory, return‑to‑vendor processing, and product/bin labeling, zoning, and slotting.
The Inventory Control Specialist (Distribution Center) is responsible for inventory variances in the Distribution Center and will interact daily with supervisors and managers to correct gaps in inventory process or storage. This position requires long periods of standing and lifting, as well as the proper use of a Microsoft warehouse management system.

$24.50 per hour
Responsibilities- Responsible for the timely completion of all inventory management processes, including daily and monthly cycle counts and audits, inventory maintenance (aged inventory, in‑transit bins, installer bins, and adjustments), daily audits of all physical locations and bins to ensure inventory is in the proper condition and located correctly, completion of all assigned counts for quarterly and annual physical inventory, and accurate counts of all equipment and sample boards.
- Partner with Distribution Center and Market leaders to identify and correct inventory inaccuracies, including writing and completing corrective action plans, improving the accuracy of inventory storage, and decreasing the average time to resolve inventory accuracy issues such as timely reconciling of inventory reports and identifying or acting on product quality issues.
- Support the training of new and existing employees on all inventory control processes, including EOS process adherence, physical storage standards, and issue resolution procedures.
- Review EOS reports to identify issues or opportunities with inventory accuracy, variances, or aging.
- Support installation warehouses in the Distribution Center network with their local inventory management efforts.
- Serve as the local leader for all physical inventories.
- Actively implement all safety policies to create a strong safety culture.
- Adhere to all posted federal and state requirements, and all company safety and operational policies and SOPs.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Computer skills (D365, Tableau, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
