Position SummaryReporting to senior leadership, this role will be responsible for supporting the financial management of the business while helping drive accurate reporting, operational visibility, and process efficiency. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a hands‑on environment and partnering with operational teams to improve financial performance.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead and support various accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Manage customer invoicing, collections efforts, and cash flow activities
- Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Participate in monthly financial statement preparation and close activities
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to management
- Monitor project and contract financial performance, including cost tracking and profitability analysis
- Maintain fixed asset records and oversee depreciation schedules
- Assist with risk management initiatives, insurance administration, and audit support
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting tools
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Professional certification (CPA or CPA candidate) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience working in a project‑based environment such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, or contracting preferred
- Understanding of cost accounting, project profitability, revenue recognition, and financial analysis
- Strong payroll and general ledger experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with large data sets and financial models
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
