Position Summary

This role provides professional tax support for the Federal income, State income, sales and use, and property tax compliance functions for multi‑entity and private U.S. entities. Responsibilities include preparing and filing a variety of tax documents across many jurisdictions and providing research and analysis support on complex state tax matters, as well as internal and external tax advice and service.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Individual contributor with no direct reports.
  • Prepare calculations of foreign source income, foreign tax credits, export sales for the I/C DISC, U.S. inclusions of foreign earnings, and Section 987 pools.
  • Prepare Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118 with supporting work papers.
  • Obtain and develop information and documentation necessary to complete returns and other tax filings.
  • Assist in providing tax advice and service to OSI Group, LLC, its principals, affiliates, and joint‑venture entities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
  • Assist in implementing strategic tax planning as needed.
  • Research and interpret domestic tax laws to identify planning opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain the overall return compliance filing calendar and verify timely filing of all returns, following up with taxing jurisdictions as required.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate their effects, and create strategies to capitalize on changes.
  • Provide support for various internal/external audits and special tax‑related projects.
  • Assist with preparation of U.S./foreign tax provisions.
  • Implement and uphold safety procedures, education, training, and use of protective equipment as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
  • 3‑5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Clear and effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of multistate S‑corporation and partnership tax compliance, including non‑resident withholding and composite tax filing requirements.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements for manufacturing businesses.
  • Understanding of tax code, compliance, and procedures for S‑corporations and partnerships, including tiered partnership structures.
  • Strong project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work well independently and with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Corptax, and tax research tools.
  • Two years of public accounting experience is preferred.
Preferred Education
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment
  • Standard office environment with typical office equipment.
  • No domestic travel required.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, and standing/walking on concrete flooring for less than 4 hours.
Compensation / Benefits

The salary range represents the low and high ends of OSI’s salary range for this position: $84,460–$126,690, with a midpoint of $105,575. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on skills, experience, and internal equity. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401(k) with match, and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
