Our client is seeking an analytical leader to spearhead the independent governance of market exposures and construct comprehensive regulatory frameworks across their agribusiness operations. This executive advisory position focuses entirely on establishing corporate protocols, evaluating aggregate risk tolerances, and delivering transparent exposure metrics directly to senior leadership without any commercial trade execution duties.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and document the foundational corporate policies governing all commodity risk parameters
  • Audit aggregate commercial positions daily to verify total compliance with approved limits
  • Translate complex market data into clear exposure updates for executive decision makers
  • Model projected capital requirements along with potential margin calls during volatile cycles
  • Provide objective valuation oversight regarding feed ingredient and grain merchandising activities
  • Design stress testing scenarios to protect organizational liquidity from adverse market shifts
  • Collaborate with commercial business units as an independent referee, overseeing risk boundaries
  • Serve as the primary internal authority on compliance protocols and structural risk governance
Qualifications
  • Five or more years managing middle office functions or commodity regulatory compliance
  • Deep understanding of agricultural markets, including futures options and mark-to-market accounting
  • Demonstrated expertise drafting and implementing formal corporate risk management governance frameworks
  • Advanced analytical capabilities paired with a strong professional presence suitable for boardroom presentations
  • Bachelor's degree in agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Capability to evaluate complex commercial trading books without participating in operational execution
  • Experience forecasting treasury impacts related to volatile agricultural commodity price movements
