The Procurement Analyst is responsible for playing a key role in the supply chain management process. Their primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison between the employer and vendors. Duties include vetting vendors, maintaining inventory, entering purchase orders, and documenting product returns. This is an onsite position in West Dundee, IL. Remote or relocation options are not available.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Placing and expediting supply orders for inventory
  • Supporting the Procurement and Logistics Manager in purchasing and importing from overseas suppliers, including customs clearing procedures
  • Assisting in creation/maintenance of inventory models and management reports
  • Preparing management reporting/analytics for essential inventory-related transaction/functions, including returns, cycle counts, and obsolete/slow moving items
  • Checking inventory levels against agreed guidelines and reporting/acting/resolve deficiencies and/or differences
  • Processing documentation for product returns
  • Maintaining inventory master files – including regular review of reorder stock levels
  • Maintaining vendor master file as required
  • Purchase order entry and expediting
  • Reviewing materials price variances
  • Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
  • Maintaining procurement documentation for audits and internal controls
  • Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
  • Minimum degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience; advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. sales & use tax filing requirements
  • Experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, and Import/Export logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory analysis tools (e.g., ABC models) and demand forecasting
  • Ability to multitask and work independently; strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and conflict‑management skills
Compensation

Annual range: $55,000–$65,000 (depending on level and location). Final offers may vary based on candidate experience and other factors.
