Operations Intern – Lean Operations Leadership & Project Management Intern

Location:

Aurora, IL (hybrid work model available). This internship is a self–directed role focused on Lean Management and Continuous Improvement within Glanbia Performance Nutrition.

• Develop Lean Management and Continuous Improvement (CI) practices
• Develop a sense of leadership based in accountability, sustainability and effectiveness
• Develop a Lean thinking and CI mindset that drives business through robust problem solving
• Develop a working understanding of operational processes in real business case scenarios in production
• Develop critical leadership soft skills that build relationship management skills appropriate for business
• Build collaboration and project management skills in a live and dynamic environment

• Completion of intern team project and final project presentation
• Strong team collaboration
• Active participation in intern activities

• Research, justify, and execute operational improvement projects through coordination and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders
• Project management and schedule development
• Tactical and operational problem solving

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree majoring in Operations Management, Engineering (Industrial or Technology), Management, or related field
• Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills
• Self‑starter and highly motivated
• Ability to follow through on tasks with minimum direction
• Ability to shift and pivot to meet business needs
• Effective working individually and within team environments
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Annual salary for Illinois-based employees for this role is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
