The Block Advisors Operations Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and business performance. The associate will be responsible for a variety of operational tasks, including managing office logistics, coordinating with departments, and supporting the integration of an acquired office into H&R Block. Additionally, this role will involve ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to both the H&R Block Office Manager and office associates.

This person will be responsible for assisting others with client engagement, workflow management, up to and including delivering client outcomes.

The Role

The Block Advisors Operations Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and business performance. The associate will be responsible for a variety of operational tasks, including managing office logistics, coordinating with departments, and supporting the integration of an acquired office into H&R Block. Additionally, this role will involve ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to both the H&R Block Office Manager and office associates.

This person will be responsible for assisting others with client engagement, workflow management, up to and including delivering client outcomes.

Day to day, you'll be working on a wide range of tasks that all support our operations function: ensuring that the H&R Block offices run smoothly, our associates work as well as possible, you keep our systems in line, and Jeff has the necessary information to meet the client requirements.

  • Support the integration of acquired CPA offices into H&R Block operations and processes
  • Partner with office leadership to drive client growth, community involvement, and business initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring teams, resources, and workflows run efficiently
  • Coordinate across departments to support tax associates and maintain strong communication
  • Manage projects, resource allocation, and issue resolution to keep operations on track
  • Support and implement new processes, systems, and operational improvements
  • Ensure office technology platforms and client programs are properly maintained and utilized
  • Execute and maintain compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain accurate operational records, documentation, and reporting
  • Collaborate with office leaders to ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and on time
Required Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, judgement skills and the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Computer proficient can use MS Office and other web-based applications/software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs
  • Must be capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Possesses experience in tax, bookkeeping, and business services field, or has worked with integration processes
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • 3 years minimum related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, including but not limited to corporations, small business services, and tax and accounting services
  • 1-2 years of experience with various tax, bookkeeping, and revenue-building software systems
  • Previous experience supervising associates is a plus

Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.
