Candidate will assist the survey crew chief in completing various land survey tasks on projects ranging from real estate closings to mapping existing conditions of a property, to staking out roadways, buildings, and utilities on a construction site. Candidate will help set up and utilize survey equipment, primarily GPS (survey‑grade global positioning system) and Robotic Total Station. Both systems are used to collect accurate data to ensure that mapping of existing conditions and the construction of new improvements are done successfully.
Candidate will need good math skills, including the ability to understand and calculate dimensions using a data collector and a scientific calculator.
There are opportunities for overtime and some travel throughout Illinois and adjacent states.
