Project Safety Manager – Data Center
Reports To: Manager, Project Safety
Location: West | Mountain | Central | Eastern Time Zone Locations
Salary Range: $95,000 to $125,000
Benefits: Eligible for annual performance bonus plan. Main work onsite at project location or office. Travel frequency and duration will vary by role and project timeline.
The Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and generates weekly Total Case Incident Reports for large projects, submitting them to project leadership and management. You will lead incident and injury investigations with production leadership support, assist in weekly toolbox safety meetings, and monitor and audit Cupertino Electric, Inc.
(CEI)/Subcontractor compliance according to applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.
You are a seasoned, OSHA 30‑certified safety professional with extensive construction safety experience. You understand electrical industry consensus standards (NFPA, NESC, ASTM, ANSI). With strong communication skills and influencing ability, you thrive as a team player or independent worker when needed. What You Will GainYou will support and evaluate our safety programs, serve as a co‑facilitator for safety trainings and testing, assist the Project Leadership Team in weekly safety meetings, and engage field personnel to develop project‑specific safety plans. General Work EnvironmentWork includes standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. The environment is both indoor office and outdoor construction sites. Conditions vary, with occasional work at heights, confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred. - OSHA 30 Construction required; CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred). Other safety certifications desired. Must obtain a BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
- Three to five years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
