Job Description

We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Designer who will spend 60% of their time as a Motion Designer and 40% as a Video Editor. You will create high‑impact visual stories showcasing our mission‑critical technology. Inside the role you will be expected to:

  • Translate concepts into visual storytelling.
  • Use motion graphics and animation to create clear, engaging stories.
  • Work within Motorola Solutions‑established video and brand guidelines and collaborate to ensure consistency across video executions.
  • Create designs and curate stories using raw footage and sensitive subject matter to ensure authenticity.
  • Master pacing and rhythm, knowing when to let a moment breathe or build tension.
  • Understand social platforms and their content requirements.
  • Gauge the narrative’s marketing funnel placement (Awareness, Consideration, Decision) and adjust emotional tone accordingly.
  • Edit compelling videos driven by an emotional narrative arc from unscripted b‑roll and written scripts.
  • Actively explore new ways to tell brand stories.
  • Help conceptualize complex stories with storyboards.
  • Inspire and bring new ideas through creative thought leadership.
  • Remain empathetic, adapt, and succeed in a constantly changing, fast‑paced environment; maintain a positive attitude and deliver high‑quality assets under shifting priorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Digital Media, Communication, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in a post‑production house, agency, or high‑end in‑house creative department.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Creative Cloud suite.
  • Deep understanding of UI/UX animation, 3D camera tracking, and integrating motion assets into live‑action environments.
  • Proficiency with 3D applications such as Cinema 4D and Blender (lighting, tracking, rendering).
  • Strong cross‑functional team collaboration skills.
  • Organize and optimize files for all departments using corporate software:
    Figma, Frame.io, GSuite, etc.
  • Ability to produce animated (motion graphics) video from written scripts.
  • Ability to research and curate pitch decks.
  • Advanced storyboarding skills for complex video and motion stories (plus).
  • Superior communication and project management skills; organized and able to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • High energy, desire to learn, drive to excel, passionate team player.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Demo reel/portfolio required, demonstrating advanced motion graphics, animation, and video editing skills.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years of experience in a post‑production house, agency, or high‑end in‑house creative department.
  • Demo reel/portfolio required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely required.
  • Employer work‑permit sponsorship not available.
