Dental Assistant

Job Description

White Oak Family Dental is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our thriving dental practice. Duties:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
• Assist with dental lab tasks, such as pouring impressions and trimming models
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records
• Handle administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance claims

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• X-ray certification preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
