Architectural Detailer

The Architectural Detailer plays a key role in supporting the companies growing architectural metals business by transforming design concepts into fabrication drawings, architectural details, shop drawings, and 3D models for façade and cladding projects. Acting as a technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Architects, and Contractors, this individual helps communicate design intent while ensuring manufacturability and installation feasibility. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural detailing experience with independent problem-solving ability and enjoys supporting custom architectural projects from concept through fabrication.

• Develop 2D construction details, fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and 3D models for architectural metal projects.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and construction documents to produce accurate submittal and fabrication packages.
• Create project-specific detailing solutions, attachment concepts, and installation details.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Estimating teams throughout project execution.
• Participate in design review meetings with architects, contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify design conflicts, constructability concerns, and fabrication challenges before production.
• Support U.S. and Canadian project teams with drawing updates and technical clarifications.
• Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and quality requirements.

• 5+ years of experience in architectural detailing, CAD design, drafting, fabrication detailing, or related technical environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software including Inventor and/or Solid Works. Revit preferred. Rhino and Grasshopper are a plus.
• Experience preparing fabrication drawings, shop drawings, submittal packages, and architectural construction details.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and project requirements while ensuring manufacturability.
• Experience with architectural metals, façade systems, cladding, building envelope products, or custom architectural solutions preferred.
• Strong independent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Effective communicator who collaborates well with architects, contractors, engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Drafting, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
