A K-12 school in Aurora, IL is seeking a licensed Social Worker with a Professional Educator License (PEL) to provide essential support services for students during the current school year contract from March 18, 2026 to May 21, 2026. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to impact student wellbeing and academic success through direct intervention and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating small group sessions focused on social and emotional development
  • Meeting and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for assigned students
  • Providing immediate crisis intervention support to students in need
  • Supporting teachers and parents by communicating student progress and recommending strategies
  • Attending meetings and performing other duties that nurture positive connections between students, families, and school staff

This role requires availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM. Part-time applicants are welcome to apply, providing some flexibility for qualified professionals seeking reduced hours.

Qualifications and Experience Desired
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Worker endorsement for school services
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings, preferably with knowledge of IEP processes and crisis intervention techniques
  • Ability to facilitate small group interactions and build rapport with students, parents, and educators
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support a multidisciplinary school team
