- Full‑time, in‑person position (Daily hours are 8:55‑2:55)
- SY 26‑27 – Institute Day August 11th and students begin on August 13th, and end date May 21st, 2027
- Setting:
Splitting time between two Elementary schools
A School Psychologist assists students with academic, social, and emotional well‑being and works with students and families to promote student success. The School Psychologist is a critical member of the IEP team and is relied upon to provide insight and guidance to the team regarding student academic and behavioral functioning.
Key Responsibilities:- Administering diagnostic and curriculum‑based assessments
- Using intelligence and academic performance testing to determine student diagnoses and recommendations for specialized services.
- Observing students in various academic and social settings to gain insight and data into students’ overall functioning in school
- Providing consultative psychology services to parents and school staff as described in the IEP.
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology
- Illinois Professional Educator Licensure (PEL) for School Psychologist
- One year of full‑time, supervised internship in a school setting
