We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and support K-8th grade students with special education needs across two schools. Details
  • Grade Levels: K-8th grade
  • Work Environment: Split between two schools in the Grayslake area
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in both English and Spanish, ensuring their educational needs are met.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to support students' academic and emotional development.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects and embraces students' bilingual and cultural backgrounds.
Credentials Required
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
  • Bilingual Education Endorsement in Spanish.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with K-8th grade students in a special education setting.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment and adapt to the needs of students.
