• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with effective interpretative skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear communication between students who are Deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and staff

• Provide visual or tactile interpreting as needed, adapting as circumstances require
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
• Offer input as part of educational teams to support student success
• Prepare for classroom content in advance to ensure accurate interpretation
