Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, PEL, or Professional Educator’s License with the school psychology endorsement
Role Overview

A School Psychologist assists students with academic, social, and emotional well‑being and works with students and families to promote student success. The School Psychologist is a critical member of the IEP team and is relied upon to provide insight and guidance to the team regarding student academic and behavioral functioning.

Job Details

Assignment starts in October and lasts until December 19th (and possibly beyond). Daily hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. You will be working in two elementary schools located close in proximity near the Aurora, IL area. Caseload will be all preschool ages. In‑person position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer diagnostic and curriculum‑based assessments
  • Use intelligence and academic performance testing to determine student diagnoses and recommendations for specialized services
  • Observe students in various academic and social settings to gain insight and data into students’ overall functioning in school
  • Provide consultative psychology services to parents and school staff as described in the IEP
