Position: School Psychologist
Job Type: Full-time
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students' educational and emotional needs, working collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to identify educational, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide counseling and mentoring to students to address academic, emotional, and social issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention plans.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support in emergency situations.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Stay current with developments in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- Certification by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) is preferred.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and a multidisciplinary team.
