About the Role:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Tailoring instructional plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Implementing Specialized Instruction: Using a variety of teaching methods and materials to support student learning and development.
• Monitoring Progress: Regularly assessing and tracking student progress to ensure they are meeting their educational goals.
• Collaborating with Parents and Staff: Working closely with parents, general education teachers, and other specialists to support student success.
• Managing Classroom Behavior: Creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching license in Special Education for the state of Illinois.
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
