Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) is seeking highly qualified educators with broad training and demonstrated experience or enthusiasm for teaching in an integrated pre‑clerkship medical school curriculum. This position is a non‑tenure track, 12‑month appointment on the Macon, Georgia campus. Additional duties will be required during the summer. The departmental assignment will be based on degree type and experience.

• Strong record of scholarly activity and evidence of medical or graduate teaching expertise.
• Participate broadly across curricula and engage in scholarly activities in biomedical science, medical education, or community‑oriented research.
• Provide course administration and contribute to institutional/departmental governance and service.
• Implement large and small interactive sessions using innovative learning strategies.
• Play a key role in development and implementation of an integrated, cross‑disciplinary curriculum with case‑based and team‑based learning.

• Hold a terminal degree (M.D. or equivalent, Ph.D.) from an accredited institution.
• Experience in health professions education with active learning methods in biomedical sciences.
• Ability to independently develop learning resources, facilitate large group sessions, and develop assessment items.
• Experience as tutor/facilitator of small group interdisciplinary case‑based learning sessions in a pre‑clerkship medical curriculum.
• For Associate or Full Professor ranks, strong record of medical school teaching in large and small group settings.
• Expected to participate broadly across curricula, engage in scholarship, and serve on committees.
