Position: PRESCHOOL INSTRUCTOR RED OAK

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8:30am
-1:00pm; starting August 31st.

RATE: $17.00/hr. minimum pay rate

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Individual must be 20 years of age or older with previous experience working with and/or teaching children as well as planning curriculum.
  • Must have 60 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 credit hours of Early Childhood Education coursework.
  • Must be friendly and creative with the desire to engage and educate children.
  • Must have strong communication skills in both verbal and written format with ability to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents and provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to maintain discretion with regard to confidential matters and/or information.
  • Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 3 months of hire date.
  • Some flexibility with your schedule and willingness to substitute for other teachers or locations as needed.
DUTIES
  • Under the direction and supervision of the Preschool Supervisor, the Preschool Teacher is primarily responsible for classroom management, implementing the preschool curriculum and communication through newsletters and other means.
  • Other duties include but not limited to; regular attendance and participation in staff and planning meetings, monitoring children’s developmental progress and providing consistent communication about their progress to parents, keeping accurate records and confidential information within students’ files.
  • Also responsible for completing 15 hours of continuing education per calendar year.
  • This is an at-will position.
