Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist within a welcoming school community near Aurora, IL. This full-time, onsite position provides a chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners while working alongside dedicated professionals.

Offering a caseload of 35-45 elementary students, this contract role runs through the end of the school year, with potential to build meaningful relationships and implement evidence-based interventions. Your expertise will help students overcome academic and social challenges, promoting both personal growth and a positive school environment.

Qualifications and

Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and active School Psychologist certification
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting, preferably with elementary-aged children
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing interventions, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, consultation, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to equity, confidentiality, and fostering a supportive school atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho educational assessments and interpret results for comprehensive student support
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in eligibility meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to design and implement effective interventions
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Advocate for students academic, social, and emotional needs within the school community
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal regulations
