Where you’ll work

The position is based in our Aurora, Illinois, office.

What you’ll do

• Complete hands‑on field and office work to help the firm advance projects.
• Have substantial knowledge and expertise with engineering designs, drawing creation, sample collection and construction observation.
• Interpret complex drawings, plans and specifications.
• Assess work, record activities and quantities, verify materials, ensure plans are followed and conduct environmental sampling.
• Support, manage and teach entry‑level technicians in the field.
• Create drawings using CAD.
• Plan and conduct complete project scope or a portion of a more diverse or larger project.
• Prepare calculations, summary sheets and data.
• Maintain field and office equipment.
• Develop leadership skills that build autonomy.

What it takes

• Associate degree in Surveying Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, or Construction Technology.
• 10 years of experience (a must).
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Speak and write well.
• Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Be a team player.
