Intern – Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

Location:

Aurora, IL.

Rensa Filtration is a leading manufacturer of cutting‑edge air filtration solutions. We are seeking enthusiastic Summer Interns to gain hands‑on experience in the industry.

Job Summary

As a Summer Intern, you will work on meaningful projects aligned with the company’s goals, receive guidance from a manager, collaborate across departments, and present your insights to the Senior Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • RPF Product Descriptions and Specifications
    • Determine and correct descriptions for RPF part numbers.
    • Enter the part descriptions into IFS.
    • Retrieve drawings and place them in the engineering and drawing files.
    • Create drawings if none exist and add them to the file.
  • Standard Work
    • Design processes for new part numbers.
    • Create video documentation of the standard work.
    • Develop visual controls for hourly analysis.
    • Design cell layout.
    • Submit routing changes to engineering via the Red Pen change system.
    • Place all documents in the production folder for work orders.
  • Collaborate with assigned manager for guidance and feedback.
  • Engage with cross‑departmental teams and attend meetings.
  • Expand your professional network within the company.
  • Prepare and deliver a presentation to the Rensa Senior Team at the end of the internship.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field.
  • Strong interest in the air filtration industry and a desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
