NPI Pumps Project Engineer II; Hybrid

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for our pump product lines. The role involves guiding a team in prioritization, task organization, role definition, record maintenance, and assisting in designing new pumps, while ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders and leadership.

• Confidently provide clear, concise communications with peers and Collins leadership.
• Assist in efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting pump program productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Pursue cost‑saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
• Assist in technical support for piece‑part supplier change verification.
• Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
• Coordinate between project management and planning, project teams, and production line management as necessary to support plant output.
• Support less experienced engineers within the team.
• Support quality investigations when piece‑part issues affect product deliveries.
• Understand, help write, improve, and execute test procedures.
• Analyze, interpret, and report out test results.
• Verify internal processes are executed to reduce probability of engineering setbacks.
• Read and interpret drawings, provide mark‑ups, and coordinate drawing releases.
• Develop disposition and substantiation for stocked and delivered hardware.
• Coordinate the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
• Help estimate and track project budget and schedule using EVMS decision making.

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Mechanical or Systems Engineering degree.
• Experience in a production role supporting aerospace rotating equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical hardware.

Salary Range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD
