Position: Drainage Engineer (Springfield, IL)

We specialize in design, planning, surveying, structural analysis, construction inspection, and environmental studies for state DOTS, tollways, municipalities, utility companies, and land development projects. We are seeking a dynamic Drainage Engineer to join our team full-time.

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional licensure in the States of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with drainage and stormwater management procedures, preferably with IDOT.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and/or Micro Station.
  • Ability to perform as a team player in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design of commercial and residential land development projects.
  • Design of stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open channel conveyance, culvert analysis, and floodplain compensation.
  • Preparation and compilation of permits and reports for approval by regulating agencies.
  • Preparation of construction plans for public and private projects.
  • Utilize drainage and CAD software.
  • Perform other tasks involved in preliminary engineering and creation of final design plans.
  • Review and seal plans.
  • Assist in project management, design, and construction observation of projects.
  • Participate in the permitting process for projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
