We’re looking for a Civil Staff Engineer for our Land Development Group who is ready to expand their technical impact and project task ownership as part of a dynamic team on development projects.
This role is not narrow or siloed. You’ll perform utility, grading, and drainage design for site development projects, contributing to both commercial sites and residential communities, and expanding roadways and utility systems.
Responsibilities- Influencing project planning and execution.
- Seeing work move from concept to real-world impact.
- Planning, design, permitting, and construction support across the full project lifecycle.
- Managing work within project schedules and budgets and interacting with clients and municipalities.
- Guiding junior team members and contributing to overall team success.
- Designing and delivering civil/site projects – grading, stormwater, water and wastewater systems.
- Taking ownership of project components or entire projects.
- Partnering with internal teams, clients, and municipalities to solve real-world challenges.
- Leading or contributing to QA/QC efforts to ensure high-quality, buildable designs.
- Supporting projects through the full lifecycle from early planning through construction.
- Mentoring junior engineers and elevating the team.
- Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Licensed EIT required or PE (or ability to obtain soon).
- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering (land development preferred).
- Experience with tools such as Civil 3D, Storm
CAD, Water
CAD (or similar). - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
