The role involves scheduling personnel and equipment, ensuring budgetary compliance, training staff on inspection techniques, and maintaining bridge condition reports across an assigned geographic area.
Key qualifications:- Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois OR Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois
- Four years of experience in civil engineering
- Valid driver's license and ability to climb and inspect various types of bridges
- Qualification as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Illinois required within one year of hire
- Four years of supervisory responsibility preferred, three years in highway engineering
