Customer Service Rep
Are you always plotting the next exciting program? Do you love working at the reference desk and helping customers find their next great read? Are you organized, forward thinking, and collaborative? If so, then you might be the person we need in our Adult Services Department at Eola Road Branch.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reference and readers advisory services at multiple service points
- Plan, promote and present programs for adults and families both inside the library and at outreach events in the community, virtually and in-person
- Assist customers to access and use library resources, including print and digital collections, public rooms, and equipment and technology services
- Perform collection management duties as assigned
- Serve as Person In Charge (PIC)
- May direct work of staff or volunteers as needed
- May serve as Notary Public
- Perform other duties as assigned
- ALA accredited MLS/MLIS
- One year public library experience or relevant experience
- One year programming and/or event planning experience
- Ability to work both collaboratively and individually with customers and staff
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, adjusting as required for programming
- Spanish or Hindi language skills are a plus
- Hourly rate starts at $25.52
- Paid vacation, holidays, personal and sick days

Hours- Monday: 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Wednesday: 12:30 a.m.
- 9:00 p.m. - Thursday: 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Weekend hours follow a 4-week rotation
- Week 1:
Saturday off, Sunday off, Friday 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Week 2:
Saturday 8:30 a.m.
-5:00 p.m., Sunday off, Friday off. - Week 3:
Saturday off, Sunday off, Friday 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. - Week 4:
Saturday off, Sunday 1:00 p.m.
