Grants Accountant

Overview

About The Company Our client is a rapidly growing non-profit organization who are looking to add a Grants Accountant to their team. The organization has enjoyed incredible success in the last few years and are seeking a candidate with a similar Grants background to join their team as they continue their expansion.

• Provides professional accounting support and decision support to the President/CEO as needed.
• Supports staff responsible for preparing the annual operating budget; utilizes and maintains the annual budget in the accounting system and monitors the adopted budget.
• Supports those who are responsible for developing modeling templates for recurring reports: cost reports, UDS, FCM and projecting operational budgeting needs for specific grant opportunities as assigned.
• Supports those who direct and coordinate the preparation of the annual budget.
• Provides technical support to staff responsible for importing, maintaining and updating operating budgets in Drill point/Sage accounting.
• Supports those responsible for completing the budget component of Grant applications.
• Provides support to accounting staff who develop and implement audit procedures to ensure compliance with grant regulations.
• Handles special assignments as directed by the President/CEO.

• College degree with major in accounting or finance or equivalent.
• Experience in the health care industry is desirable but not required.
• Computer literacy and extensive electronic spreadsheet knowledge.

• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal effectively with stress.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer terminal.
• Visual ability to review and work from written and printed materials.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
