Tax Analyst

National Law Firm is partnering with a leading national law firm to identify a Tax Analyst to join its Tax Accounting team. • Prepare and manage federal partnership, state composite, and state tax returns
• Support non-income tax compliance, including sales and use tax, personal property tax, and business licenses
• Coordinate tax calendars and ensure timely filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with audits, tax projects, and special initiatives
• Analyze financial data and prepare supporting schedules for tax filings
• Calculate deductions, estimated payments, extensions, and apportionment percentages
• Maintain and reconcile the firm’s fixed asset system (including depreciation tracking)
• Monitor tax law changes and ensure continued compliance
• Prepare and file various required state-level filings
• Support internal reporting and partner-related tax requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of tax accounting experience, including partnership and individual tax exposure
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with fixed asset systems (Sage preferred)
• Familiarity with sales/use tax and personal property tax (preferred)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
