Position Overview

The Treasury Management Officer (TMO) partners with community bank clients to identify cross-sell opportunities, support onboarding, and manage a small business treasury portfolio. This role requires strong knowledge of the bank’s treasury management products and services, along with the ability to recommend solutions, influence sales outcomes, and provide exceptional client support. The TMO works closely with internal partners and external clients to expand relationships, increase revenue, and ensure a high level of service.

This position also supports the Treasury Management Sales Team through proposal preparation, pricing support, implementation coordination, and account analysis.

Essential Job Functions
  • Partner with Treasury Management Advisors to support middle market commercial clients.
  • Manage and grow treasury sales opportunities within the business banking client portfolio.
  • Prepare proposals, agreements, and implementation documents in compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Cross-sell treasury products and services to expand client relationships and improve profitability.
  • Provide exceptional support to new and existing clients by addressing service requests, inquiries, and technical issues.
  • Resolve complex client issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the Treasury Management Sales Team with daily activities and sales initiatives.
  • Assist with new treasury pricing, exception pricing, and annual pricing reviews.
  • Coordinate and support implementation meetings for new treasury management clients.
  • Perform operational functions related to treasury service delivery.
  • Run pro forma models, prepare pro forma account analysis statements, sales presentations, and analyze complex account analysis statements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in treasury management, cash management, or commercial banking; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Core Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven success in treasury management sales.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of treasury management products, pricing, and BSA requirements.
  • Strong account analysis skills, including experience with complex analyses and pro forma modeling.
  • Effective presentation skills to support business development efforts.
Location Details

This position is considered a hybrid role based in Aurora, IL (37 S. River Street). With management approval, an incumbent may work a combination of remote and onsite work to perform the regular responsibilities of the role. Actual schedule requirements may vary based upon business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $61,400 - $83,400 annually. Officer Bonus Eligible:
Eligible to participate in the Annual Officer Incentive plan with a target bonus up to 40% of base salary based on various performance components. Old Second is committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Pay is dependent upon the pay range and the incumbent’s knowledge, skills and experience.
