Operational
- Monitors and coordinates all aspects of the department to include workflow, procedure volumes, and charges to ensure maximum work output with a minimum of patient dissatisfaction.
- Coordinates daily and weekly workflows, room usage and scheduling needs for routine and add-on procedures.
- Monitors and ensures proper coding and capture of charges.
- Monitors outstanding/incomplete work.
- Works closely with scheduling personnel to ensure appropriateness of exam.
- Acts as contact person for patient, visitors, and physician’s and staff concerns, complaints or dissatisfaction; makes any immediate corrections as appropriate to satisfy customer needs and forwards all complaints and any actions taken to manager.
- Oversee supply ordering for assigned areas to assure continuity in patient care.
- Determine inventory usage, monitor usage and resolve any issues related to supplies.
