Pay Range: $31 - $61 per hour

SummaryGeneral Description:
The Physician Assistant Faculty-College of Health Sciences faculty member will work primarily with the clinical faculty to monitor student performance on clinical rotations, supervise existing rotation sites, recruit new sites, develop clinical curriculum, and participate in teaching and assessment activities related to clinical and didactic student training. This position requires travel for site supervision and recruitment.
The faculty member will contribute to the educational, research, scholarship and service missions of the Program, the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, and the College of Health Sciences. This faculty position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values, and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge:
Knowledgeable in didactic pedagogy. - Interdisciplinary clinical and educational training experience preferred
- Excellent working knowledge and experience with MS Office, word processing, Excel, Powerpoint, and web applications
- Skills:
Excellent teaching ability, with aptitude in research and scholarly activities - Excellent verbal skills and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Abilities:
Able to consistently instruct and counsel students in an informative and professional manner - Able and willing to learn new skills as needed, especially to work with new technologies that become available
- Able and willing to attend off-site educational and professional conferences and seminars
- Able to seek out and pursue research and funding opportunities
