Labcorp is seeking a Experienced Bilingual Phlebotomist Float to join our team in the Aurora/Bolingbrook area (Elgin, Bensenville, Carol Stream, Villa Park, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Joliet, Romeoville, Sandwich, Plainfield, and Yorkville).
Work ScheduleVaried
Schedule:
6:00am - 8:00pm (flexibility to start as early as 6am, and also able to work as late as 8pm. This can include holidays and weekends).
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist
- 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
- 2 years pediatric experience
- Bilingual Spanish
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Be at least 21 years old

$17.50 - $24.50 per hour
Float IncentiveAdditional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary workers are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan. Employees working a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
