This short-term leave coverage (8/1711/4) focuses on supporting special education students across mixed grade levels, with a special emphasis on Transition-aged individuals (2022 years old). With 37.5 hours per week onsite, you will make a meaningful difference in students lives by helping them acquire or compensate for deficits in gross motor skills so they can thrive in the school environment.

Qualifications:
-Active Illinois Physical Therapist licensure-Demonstrated pediatric experience-Relevant background working within school settings-Ability to confidently work with diverse student caseloads, including Transition-aged young adults
Role Responsibilities:
-Deliver direct physical therapy to students with special needs, ensuring IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals are met-Collaborate with educators, school teams, and families to support student participation and success throughout the school day-Develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans and progress-Assess students gross motor skills and create strategies to foster their development or provide compensation for significant deficits-Support students as they navigate both academic and functional transitions
