- Educate stakeholders, especially institutions interested in PrEP and strategies to improve patient access to Gilead’s long-acting injectable products
- Serve as the central lead and quarterback the matrix team across reimbursement, medical, nursing, account, sales, and market access functions
- Gain inclusion on formularies, placement on Electronic Medical Records systems, and product pathways
- Build, develop, and cultivate relationships across integrated delivery networks, targeted healthcare systems/hospitals, and FQHC/community clinics
- Develop overall account strategies and contract pull-throughs where appropriate
- Generate increased demand and access for long-acting injectable products by engaging influencers and decision-makers
- Align strategies with Medical, Sales, Marketing, and other operational functions
- Deliver defined call plans for C-suite, pathway, P&T committee members, and prescribers across assigned accounts
- Engage Directors of Pharmacy, infectious disease department heads, and Medical/P&T Evaluation Committee members
- Build and manage account profiles, including protocol development procedures, pull-through targets, product pathway/protocol placement, and key decision-makers
- Lead cross-functional strategic account plans and ensure compliant execution of functional objectives
- Conduct regular in-person account visits to promote sales efforts, manage contract strategy, and provide clinical, efficacy, and safety information
- Lead strategic launch planning and develop tactical strategies for product launches and expansion across cross-functional teams
- Fulfill applicable onsite visitation and hospital credentialing requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR Master’s Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience
- Previous account management/managed markets experience
- HIV or PrEP experience
- Cultural humility and understanding of the stigmatized nature of HIV/PrEP
- Experience with a buy-and-bill product
- Contracting experience
- Institution new product launch experience
- 2 years of direct experience in a corporate/region/national/key account role
- Direct Access, Payer, or health system experience
- Ability to inspire, influence, and lead without authority
- Experience executing physician and account management strategic plans
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including synthesizing data and delivering a clear direction
- Superior negotiation skills, business acumen, and analytical ability
- Robust project management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with clear deliverables across multiple customers in tight timelines
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills, and able to work independently and as a member of a matrix leadership team
- Ability to travel up to 25–50% of the time with overnight travel
- Satisfaction of onsite visitation or hospital credentialing requirements, if applicable, including vaccination, drug and background screenings, and other institutional requirements
Demonstrates expertise in account management and strategic planning within the healthcare sector, particularly in HIV and PrEP markets. Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and execute complex product launch strategies across cross-functional teams.
