Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while advancing your career as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This rewarding contract position near Champaign, IL, offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families while helping children overcome communication and language barriers.

As an integral part of a dynamic educational team, you’ll support students’ growth by designing and delivering tailored interventions. With a consistent 37.5-hour work week, you’ll enjoy stability and the satisfaction of seeing your expertise foster confidence and success in school-aged children.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois for SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or CFY candidates considered
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with diverse pediatric populations highly valued
  • Understanding of a broad spectrum of disabilities and experience developing individualized education program (IEP) goals is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
  • Provide therapy services to students with various communication disorders and disabilities
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to compliance standards
  • Participate in meetings and contribute insights on student progress and intervention strategies
