Patient Financial Services Representative
A respected healthcare organization is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to join its team. This role is ideal for an individual with healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, insurance verification, or accounts receivable experience who enjoys working in a collaborative office environment and contributing to exceptional patient service.
Key Responsibilities for the Patient Financial Services Representative- Process and submit healthcare claims accurately and timely
- Assist with monthly patient statement processing
- Enter payment vouchers and receipt information
- Maintain detailed patient account and accounts receivable records
- Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Respond to inquiries and billing correspondence from insurance carriers and third parties
- Support collection efforts to maximize account resolution
- Perform account reconciliations and reporting activities
- Manage patient correspondence and returned mail
- Complete data entry and administrative projects as assigned
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and billing processes
- Strong data entry and 10-key skills
- Experience working with accounts receivable, billing, or healthcare financial services
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic records
- Experience with insurance verification and benefits investigation
- Accounts receivable and collections experience
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems such as Epic
- Healthcare revenue cycle experience
