Medical Assistant – ENT

• Support providers and patients as part of the care team
• Welcome patients and support their transition into care
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care
• Travel between sites in Aurora, Naperville, and Downers Grove
• Work Monday-Friday 8-5pm with Saturday rotation

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday
• Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds
• Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
• Ability to perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
• Physical Abilities Testing may be required
• May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, blood and body fluids, and communicable disease; protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary

Demonstrates proficiency in patient care support, including vital sign monitoring, medical history documentation, and medication administration. Possesses strong physical capabilities for patient handling and safety interventions while ensuring compliance with health standards.
