Illinois Phlebotomy Services is selectively expanding across several service territories and is seeking highly experienced phlebotomists to join our specialized professional field team.

Candidates should reside within or very near the territory for which they are applying.

• Chicago — candidates must reside within Chicago city limits
• Western Chicago border area
• Northwest Indiana / Illinois border area
• McHenry County
• Will County
• Winnebago County

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional phlebotomy experience
.

We are especially interested in phlebotomists with experience working with challenging or medically complex populations, including:

• Psychiatric and behavioral health
• Geriatrics
• Oncology
• Difficult-draw patients
• Hospital and acute-care environments
• Emergency department settings
• Mobile phlebotomy
• Independent field work
• Other specialized clinical environments

Candidates should possess the experience and confidence necessary to perform successfully when a collection is not routine.

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Minimum 3 years of professional phlebotomy experience
• ASCP certification and/or recognized professional phlebotomy certification
• Exceptional venipuncture skills
• Strong difficult-draw experience
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail
• Professional communication skills
• Discretion and confidentiality
• Dependability and punctuality
• Ability and willingness to travel within an assigned territory

Applicants must have:

• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid driver's license
• Current automobile insurance
• Reliable mobile phone
• Ability to travel to various locations within the assigned territory

Final candidates must successfully complete required screening, including:

• Criminal background screening
• Drug testing
• Professional credential verification
• Employment and experience verification
• Driver's license verification
