Walk With Me Counseling Center is seeking an experienced, independently licensed Illinois therapist to join our growing virtual group practice as a part-time W2 Clinical Lead & Therapist.
This role is designed for a strong clinician who enjoys direct client care and is ready to expand their impact through clinical leadership. You will maintain a part-time therapy caseload while providing clinical consultation, documentation oversight, and quality support to a small team of therapists.
This is a focused Clinical Lead role, not a full Clinical Director position. You will not be responsible for billing, scheduling, intake, marketing, or day-to-day practice operations.

Therapy:$80 per completed therapy session
Clinical Lead Responsibilities:$50 per hour for approximately 2 to 3 hours per week initially
Pay:Biweekly
Caseloads are built gradually based on referrals, client fit, therapist availability, and scheduling needs. A specific caseload volume is not guaranteed upon hire.
What You'll Do Therapy- Provide virtual psychotherapy to adult clients throughout Illinois.
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide clinically appropriate diagnoses.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs, progress, and medical necessity.
- Complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation.
- Reassess diagnoses as additional clinical information becomes available throughout treatment.
- Build and maintain a part-time caseload based on referrals, availability, client fit, and scheduling needs.
- Provide approximately one hour of weekly clinical consultation to therapists, including support with case conceptualization, treatment planning, interventions, complex cases, ethical concerns, and risk or safety concerns.
- Provide required documentation signatures for provisionally licensed therapists.
- Conduct a weekly random sample review of progress notes and treatment plans to assess clinical quality, medical necessity, and alignment among diagnosis, treatment goals, interventions, and documented progress.
- Review diagnoses and diagnostic codes as part of the weekly clinical quality review and identify when diagnostic reassessment is clinically indicated.
- Provide clear, constructive clinical and documentation feedback and follow up when needed.
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex, higher-risk, or ethically challenging cases.
- Escalate significant clinical, ethical, or safety concerns to practice leadership when appropriate.
- Providing required documentation signatures is separate from conducting an in-depth clinical quality review. The Clinical Lead is not expected to perform an in-depth review of every document before signing it.
- Current, active, unrestricted Illinois LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT license
- Independent clinical licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Experience providing psychotherapy to adults
- Strong clinical judgment and case conceptualization skills
- Strong knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical documentation, medical necessity, ethics, and risk assessment
- Ability to provide thoughtful, direct, and supportive clinical feedback
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully virtual practice
