Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is just one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs designed to support our team members financial, physical, and mental well-being. WE LOVE OUR WORK. The Housekeeping Shift Manager is responsible for managing environmental services (EVS) and hotel housekeeping operations during an assigned shift to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met. This role leads frontline EVS and housekeeping staff, coordinates daily assignments, addresses guest or internal concerns, and ensures compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Manage EVS and hotel housekeeping team members during assigned shifts, including room attendants and support staff
- Assign daily work schedules and inspect completed work for quality and compliance with standards
- Ensure all guest rooms, casino floor, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness and presentation expectations
- Respond promptly to guest requests, service recovery needs, and cleanliness concerns
- Train, coach, and motivate staff to improve performance and engagement
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, chemicals, and supplies; submit replenishment requests as needed
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and labor standards, including attendance and hygiene
- Complete shift reports, logs, and incident documentation
- Collaborate with other departments (Front Desk, Maintenance, Security) to ensure seamless operations
- Address performance issues and escalate concerns to senior leadership when appropriate
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping or custodial experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
- Familiarity with scheduling or workforce management systems
