Description

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role interacts employees daily assisting with general HR questions and HR systems issues. The Human Resource Coordinator assists in employee communication and ensuring all employees have access to all general communication. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes a variety of HR Projects as assigned
  • Acts as back‑up to Payroll Manager in processing weekly payroll
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions and responding to employment verification requests
  • Audits I‑9 files and ensures updated documentation is processed.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
  • Maintains and updates company job descriptions
  • Audits time clock system and works with managers and supervisors to update
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Prepares new hire folders and new‑employee files
  • Assists in organizing employee events
  • Maintains training database and coordinates annual compliance training
  • Updates and manages electronic communication boards and printed signage
  • Updates and maintains MS SharePoint for HR documents and communications
  • Manage Leave requests, approvals, and communications
  • Assist with reviewing company policies and communications for legal compliance and effectiveness
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Publisher
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
