Senior Production Support Engineer

As a Senior Production Support Engineer on the US Risk Technology team, you will support our anti‑money laundering (AML) platform built using SAS Viya
3.5, used for customer risk rating, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.

• Investigate application issues, prioritize incidents based on impact and severity, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence; apply ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
• Write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines.
• Manage Linux virtual machines and a Postgre
  
  SQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Oversee production changes affecting CIBC’s SAS Viya AML platform, including bug fixes and version upgrades.
• Perform disaster recovery tests to ensure service continuity.
• Build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors.
• Express technical concepts to non‑technical audiences with precision and clarity.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments.

• At least 5–8 years of experience in an application support role.
• Experience with Linux virtual machines, writing SQL queries, and a technical familiarity with cloud computing (preferably Azure).
• Experience with SAS Viya and relevant certifications is an asset; CIBC supports completion of the SAS Certified Specialist:
  Administration of SASViya exam and Microsoft Azure training.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary range: $115,000 – $150,900 based on experience, qualifications, and location. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
