Job Overview
The Field Engineering team is responsible for deploying Computer‑Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile Applications, and Records Management Systems (RMS) for public safety customers. This role handles on‑premises hardware and equipment installations on government and municipal projects, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure consistent quality, standardization, and reuse.
Responsibilities- Manage and execute customer installation activities within agreed project time frames.
- Verify complete functionality and readiness of systems for software deployment.
- Conduct routine system tasks such as software updates, upgrades, data backup and restoration, and troubleshooting.
- Develop a deep understanding of public safety environments to ensure optimal product security and reliability.
- Demonstrate proficiency in software and IP networking skills, plus strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Deliver solutions that align with existing product interfaces and pre‑defined procedures.
- Adhere to all corporate guidelines and complete required training, including CJIS compliance.
- Accurately log billable hours for project work.
- Experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting VMware ESXi v7+ and/or Red Hat Open Shift.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or later.
- Experience with Windows Server 2019 or later, Windows 10 & 11, and Linux workstation operating systems.
- Experience with HP Arista LAN switches.
- Experience with HPE Alletra or Nimble SAN.
- Basic firewall and router knowledge;
Fortinet Fortigate experience is a plus. - Experience with HPE compute hardware for servers and workstations.
- Active Directory administration, including Group Policy and DNS.
- Experience using Team City is a plus.
- Prior experience deploying, integrating, operating, or administering Public Safety Applications.
Travel: 50%‑75% of the time depending on project and business needs.
Position must successfully pass a fingerprint background check under the U.S. Department of Justice CJIS Security Policy.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer sponsorship is not available.
SalaryTarget Base Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000
USD (actual offer based on individual qualifications).
