Cloud​/Infrastructure Engineer

The Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will lead the strategy and evolution of its cloud infrastructure platform supporting mission critical SaaS applications. This role is responsible for defining architectural standards, driving platform scalability and reliability, and enabling engineering teams through modern infrastructure patterns and tooling. The ideal candidate is a hands on technical leader with deep Azure expertise, a strong security and compliance mindset, and experience influencing engineering practices across multiple teams.

• Define and drive the cloud infrastructure platform strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals
• Serve as the principal technical authority for cloud architecture and infrastructure design decisions
• Design and implement reusable infrastructure patterns, Terraform modules, and environment blueprints
• Lead evaluation of platform tooling, cloud services, and vendor solutions
• Establish and enforce cloud governance, security standards, and compliance frameworks including SOC 2 and PCI
• Drive Fin Ops initiatives including cost optimization, resource management, and financial reporting
• Build and maintain platform tooling and automation using Python, Go, Power Shell, or Bash
• Oversee provisioning and lifecycle management of development, staging, and production environments
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to align infrastructure capabilities with product needs
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and technical development across the organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 8 or more years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure and infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages including Python, Go, Power Shell, or Bash
• Experience with cloud security practices including IAM, secrets management, and network segmentation
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and PCI
• Ability to communicate technical strategy to both technical and non technical stakeholders

• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Background in financial services or SaaS environments
• Familiarity with Fin Ops, data platforms, or service mesh technologies
